چکیده

Reversibility is a concept widely studied in several research fields. Several contributions have been provided in physics and computer science. Reversible computation is characterized by means of invertible properties [1]. Reversibility is studied in computer science also in order to design less dissipative computers. The evolution of quantum systems is described by the time evolution operator U which is unitary and invertible; therefore such systems can implement reversibility. Reversible/invertible Cellular Automata (CA) [2] are one of the most relevant reversible computational models. Here we introduce a model for a Josephson junction ladder (JJL) device addressing reversibility: it is based on a hybrid Cellular Automata Network (CAN), the CAN2 [3].

Towards reversibility in a JJL qubit qualitative model by means of CAN2 paradigm

Reversibility is a concept widely studied in physics and computer science. Quantum systems evolution is described by the time evolution operator U , which is unitary and then invertible. Likewise, reversible computation is characterized by means of invertible properties. Reversible/invertible cellular automata (CA) are one of the most relevant reversible computational models. Here we introduce ...

Gas contaminants capturing by gamma-carbonic anhydrase catalyst: A quantum chemical approach

In this paper, we used quantum chemical approach to shed light on the catalytic mechanism of γ-carbonic anhydrase (γ-CA) to convert carbon dioxide to bicarbonate ion. Density functional theory (DFT) using B3LYP and UB3LYP functional and three split-valance including 6-31G*, 6-311G** and 6-311++G** basis sets were used to calculate the details of electronic structure and electronic energy of act...

Quantum current modeling in nano-transistors with a quantum dot

Carbon quantum dots (CQDs) serve as a new class of ‘zero dimensional’ nanomaterial’s in thecarbon class with sizes below 10 nm. As light emitting nanocrystals, QDs are assembled from semiconductormaterials, from the elements in the periodic groups of II-VI, III-V or IV-VI, mainly thanks to impacts of quantum confinement QDs have unique optical properties such as brighter, highly pho...
